Relaxing Puffin

from $22.00

Mykines, Faroe Islands | 2021

Puffins spend most of the year living in the open ocean. They only spend a few months per year on land. Most of the world’s puffins live up near Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The island of Mykines (pronounced mee-cheh-ness roughly) in the Faroe Islands is home to 125,000 breeding pairs of puffins, although the island is notoriously difficult to get to due to rough seas and fickle weather. If the weather allows, you can visit the island via ferry or helicopter during the summer months to spend some time with these beautiful birds.
